MoniKeibo is a kakeibo-style budgeting app. It is built to work entirely on your device, and it does not run or operate any servers of its own. This policy explains the small number of things that leave your phone, and why.
Everything you enter — your first name, your budget and period settings, the payments you log, their merchants, categories and tags — is stored only in an encrypted local database on your phone. It is never transmitted to us. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, the data is gone.
The app uses your phone's camera only to read UPI QR codes from your screen. The camera image is processed on your device, and camera access is never active outside the scanner unless the app needs to re-confirm permission. No photo or video is recorded or saved.
If you turn on App lock, MoniKeibo uses your device's screen lock (fingerprint, face or PIN) to protect opening the app. Biometric checks are performed by the operating system; MoniKeibo never sees or stores your biometric data.
The "export" feature shares your payment history as plain text through Android's standard share sheet. You choose the destination; nothing is sent unless you send it, and what is shared is exactly the text you see.
MoniKeibo shows ads through Google AdMob, and they may be personalised where you have consented. When required by your region, a Google consent form (shown by Google's own User Messaging Platform) lets you accept, reject personalised ads, or manage your choices; you can change them later by clearing the app's storage or through your Google Ad Settings.
Google may collect device identifiers, app usage within ad sessions, approximate location (IP-based), and similar information for ad serving, frequency capping, and fraud prevention, under Google's own policies. This is governed by Google's advertising policy and its privacy policy. MoniKeibo does not read, combine, or forward this data, and does not receive revenue reports tied to your identity.
Your MoniKeibo ledger data is never sent to Google or any ad partner.
If you allow notifications, MoniKeibo uses them to quietly confirm that a payment was logged. These are local notifications generated by the app; no push service or server is involved. They are optional.
MoniKeibo is not directed at children under 13, and is rated for teen and older users. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Neither location, contacts, microphone nor storage access is used.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL and reflected in the Play Store listing.
